Marketing:

I specialise in anything that has to sound good! I particularly enjoy marketing texts and the more creative side of translation. I translate press releases, websites, advertisements, catalogues and promotional materials, and some of my most high profile clients include: Adidas, Schwan STABILO, the BMW Museum, Loewe, LLOYD shoes and Porsche.

Automotive industry:

I have also chosen to specialise in translations for the automotive industry and I have considerable experience working for some of the large well-known international companies in the sector, particularly in Germany. These include Porsche, Audi, BMW, VW and Hyundai. 

European relations:

During my Masters studies I focused on European relations and following this I went on to work as a trainee translator at the Directorate General for Translation in Brussels. I am familiar with European policies and with EU jargon and styles. I continue to work for the European Commission in a freelance capacity.

Other areas:

My personal interests have led to a preference for environmental and wildlife-related texts, as well as the genres of travel and tourism.

In general I will charge per word in the source text, although there may be additional costs if a text is particularly urgent or specialised. If the text is in pdf format or a scanned file, I reserve the right to charge per word in the final target text.
