| Here you can find a brief summary of my professional experience in providing language services and my educational background. If you have any questions or would like more information, sample work or a quote, please get in touch . After completing a languages degree at Oxford University (Modern Languages and Literature - BA (Hons) First Class), followed by an MSc in Translation and Conference Interpreting at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh (awarded with Distinction), I spent time working as a trainee translator in Germany and at the European Commission in Belgium before returning home in September 2007 to work as a freelance translator and proof reader in the UK. I'm enthusiastic and dedicated to my work because I really love what I do. My job allows me to indulge in my passion for languages and learning and I enjoy the variety and challenges it offers. I accept translation, editing and writing work only when I know I can do an excellent job, so you're guaranteed the best service. I'll always deliver your work on time, when you need it, and I'm happy to accommodate any special requirements you might have. Please see my references page for some comments on my translations from satisfied customers. As a language tutor, I provide private tuition one-on-one or in small groups and tailor my classes to the needs of the students. I love to share my passion for languages, and my fun and interactive approach to learning is sure to achieve results. I'm now based in the inspiring North Wales countryside, which provides plenty of opportunity to pursue my other passions, including a range of mountain sports and enjoying the nature and wildlife literally on my doorstep. If you're based in North Wales or further afield, get in touch to see what I can do for you. |
